Values 价值观
Here, we are explaining the general values of our organization and projects. 这里会说明我们组织和项目的价值观。
Based on observations of human life, we categorize the value orientations of human society into three broad sections (Note: The meanings of these terms might differ from the academic interpretations as of 2023):
Philosophy - Pursuing Truth
This pertains to the exploration and contemplation of fundamental principles, origins, and the essence of the world. It also addresses our existence, life, and the nature of life and death. Some parts of fields in physics, biology, history, philosophy, and sociology fall under this category. As society advances and the means of production improve, individuals will inevitably face these questions after their basic survival needs are met. Our hope is to systematically address these inquiries.
Engineering - Enhance Productivity
From the time humans began to walk upright, freeing their hands to create tools, to the development of modern society, our quality of life and ability to modify the Earth have drastically improved. The level of productive capacity, quality of life, civilization’s control and influence, ability for war and aggression, and construction capabilities are manifestations of engineering. Present-day engineering disciplines, some natural sciences, and sections of social and psychological sciences fall under this domain.
Aesthetics - People Oriented
We recognize that regardless of the advancements in philosophy and engineering, societies are made up of individuals. The life cycle of an individual, their highs and lows, do not necessarily improve with the overall progress of civilization. With the development of social structures, industrial societies, and general intelligence, humans may lose value in physical and mental labor, drifting away from the domains of engineering and philosophy. Aesthetics focuses on a human-centric value orientation, addressing issues relevant to an individual’s life experiences and feelings, rather than those centered around the progress of civilization.
基于对人类生活的观察，我们把人类社会的价值取向总体分为三个部分（三个名词此处含义不完全同于现在的学术界解释 in 2023）：
哲学 - 追求真理
对这个世界的基本原理，本源，本质等的探究和思考，对我们自身存在，人生，生死等的探究和思考。部分物理学，化学生物等，部分历史学，哲学等，社会学等归属于这个范畴。在社会生产力逐步提升的今天和未来，个体在解决生存繁衍问题后都将直面这些问题，我们希望能系统性解决相关问题。
工程 - 发展生产力
人类凭借直立行走解放双手并制造工具，到发展出现代社会，生活质量和对地球的改造能力大幅提升。生产力水平，生活质量，文明的控制力和影响力，战争侵略能力，建设能力，是工程的体现。现在的工科学科，部分的理科学科，部分的社会学，心理学等学科归属于工程这一范畴。
美学 - 以人为本
我们注意到，不论文明的哲学，工程如何发展，社会都由个体所组成，个体的人生尺度的生死兴衰不随文明的整体实力提高而产生质的变化。随着社会结构，工业社会，通用智能的发展，人类将丧失体力和脑力劳动价值，大量丧失对工程和哲学领域的价值。美学以以人为本的价值取向出发，解决人的一生中以个体尺度价值和感受为基准的相关问题，而非以文明尺度为中心的哲学和工程问题。
